The Mayor of Waltham Forest, Cllr Elizabeth Baptiste, is pleased to invite you to an online charity chocolate tasting event in support of the Sickle Cell Society.

Saturday 20th November
12.30pm to 2.00pm

For anyone who attended a previous session back in February, the chocolatier has selected all new chocolate types for a different tasting experience.

When you sign up, a tasting pack will be sent out to you in advance, containing:

• Six tasting samples of chocolate; these will be a range of different chocolates that are all fairly traded
• Guidance on how to taste chocolate and tasting notes for each chocolate (including space to add your own notes)
• The history of chocolate – from the Mayans to the present day; from spicy “drink of the Gods” to an everyday treat
• The chocolate “Bean to Bar” story
• Guide to tempering chocolate
• A chocolate brownie recipe

The session includes a 90 minute interactive presentation on chocolate, with lots of opportunities to have your questions answered. All the chocolate used is of the highest quality from renowned producers; there will be no artificial flavourings, sweeteners or preservatives and definitely no palm oil! Dietary requirements can be accommodated so please get in touch as soon as possible.

The cost is £22 per person for the full package. Packs for additional people taking part with you at the same address cost £12.

All profits will go to local projects of the Sickle Cell Society.

Please note to allow time to post your packs, places must be booked and paid for by 7th November.
