The Society recognises excellence within the sickle cell community, and two awards are available. To nominate someone special, please fill out the form below!
HE FLOELLA BENJAMIN ACHIEVEMENT AWARD:
This award is presented to someone living with Sickle Cell Disorder who has recently accomplished a significant personal achievement. In order to enter, please fill in the below form, telling us in less than 200 words why this person (or you) deserves to win this award. The winner of this award will be presented with a £50 voucher and a certificate.
BLACK ON BLACK AWARD:
This is an award given to recognise the creative work of a child and an adult living with a Sickle Cell Disorder. This year we are accepting submissions of work themed around ‘Dreams and Adventures.’ Any singular piece of creative work may be submitted (e.g. a story, a poem, a painting, a sculpture, a drawing etc). In order to enter, please submit the below form and send the corresponding creative entry to jessica.boatright@sicklecellsociety.org OR via the post to Jessica Boatright, Sickle Cell Society, 54 Station Road, London, NW10 4UA – please make sure to put a name on your work. There are two categories for this award – children (under 16) and adults (16+). Both the child and adult winners of this award will be presented with a £50 voucher and a certificate.
