Public Health England – Job Vacancy: National Programme Manager – Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia

The Screening Division of Public Health England (PHE) is seeking to recruit a National Programme Manager for the NHS Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Screening Programme. This is a senior management position within the team which heads up the operational management of the NHS Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Screening Programme within PHE Screening. The NHS Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Screening Programme is one of six screening programmes within the Antenatal and Newborn group of screening programmes. These sit alongside the five Young Person and Adult Screening programmes.
The post holder will lead the Programme and those colleagues working on Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Screening to ensure that the workstreams associated with the objectives of the Programme are planned and carried out effectively. They will work closely with colleagues from across the Screening Quality Assurance Service which is also a part of the PHE Screening division.
