Launch of New Sickle Cell & Thalassaemia Publications

The Sickle Cell Society as part of a collaborative project with the NHS Sickle Cell & Thalassaemia Screening Programme and UK Thalassaemia Society have produced three new publications to be launched on Thursday 28^th January 2021. These are:

• ‘A Parent’s Guide to Managing Sickle Cell Disease’ (4^th Edition 2021) – ‘Parents Handbook’
• ‘Sickle Cell Disease in Childhood: Standards and Recommendations for Clinical Care’ (3^rd Edition 2019) – ‘Paediatric Standards’
• ‘Sickle Cell & Thalassaemia Counselling, Knowledge & Skills Guidelines’ (2020)

The new edition of the Parents Handbook will be available online now. Click here to download.

Hard copies of the ‘Parents Guide’ should be available by mid-February as soon as we confirm how best to distribute during the pandemic.
