September fundraiser spotlight: sharks and bikes!
Simon completed a charity cycle race on 6th September, and raised £75 for the Sickle Cell Society by cycling all the way from London to Brighton. We’re incredibly proud of him, and hugely grateful for his support. Check out how he looked on the day!
Meanwhile, on 24th September, Neil will be taking a cycling challenge of his own: he’ll be taking part in the Gleeds South Downs Way Challenge, a 35 mile ride. The South Downs, contrary to their name, aren’t particularly “down”, there’s lots of hills! So please support Neil by sponsoring him: your support means as much to our fundraisers as it does to us! If, after all of this bike-based news, you’re feeling like you might want to try your hand at a cycling challenge, we’ve got a big one for you. Paris is beautiful in the springtime, and we invite you to hop on your bike and go there! Yes, we have places in a race from London to Paris, and the great news is it’s in April so you’ve got plenty of time to get yourself in shape. Book your place here.
As for the sharks we promised you in the title, we weren’t exaggerating. On 27th September, Peace will be literally throwing herself into a tank full of sharks to fundraise for the Sickle Cell Society! She’s aiming to raise £500 with her sponsored dive with sharks. Sponsor her to not get eaten by visiting her JustGiving page, and learn a little more about her crazy challenge!
